Pacific Science Center

The Pacific Science Center is a place we go quite a bit so I don't blog about it every time, but on this day something kind of funny happened. Well, not funny if you ask Ian, but it makes a good story. We had been enjoying the day. We watched a Science show, went through the fear exhibit and then sat down on a bench where we often eat our lunch, next to the big pond/fountain/water area, only this time it had been drained for repairs. The second Ian took his sandwich from his lunch box, before he even had time to open the baggie that it was in, a gull swooped over and snatched it from him. It all happened so fast that by the time I felt the bird flapping near us and I turned my head, he was already flying away with Ian's sandwich. Ian was sad and angry and spiteful. The bird immediately pecked through the bag and started eating the sandwich right in front of us. Only about 15 feet way. Ian was able to eat my sandwich, so he didn't go hungry, but he was really, really mad. Next time we'll be aware of those lunch snatching gulls.
