Beach parks
We are so lucky to live near so many great beach parks. This summer we went to several. This is Mukilteo Beach Park. We went with our friends and had a great time. We took a lunch and spent the whole day hanging out in the perfect coastal weather. The kids found lots of shells and rocks that were their "favorite and best rocks that they've ever found." Even better that last weeks rocks and shells, but I guess not as great as the following weeks rocks and shells which are always the new best and favorites.
We also stayed for the great farmers market that evening. We stocked up on local produce (since our own backyard produce hadn't really been growing too well) and had farmers market pizza for dinner as well as dipped ice cream on a stick. We found a new favorite flavor...cardamon ice cream. Who would have thought it could be so good. As we all tasted each others flavors, Drew determined that Ian's vanilla was good, but his black cherry was better, and then when he tasted my cardamon he declared "Mom's is better then both of ours put together." I've already made my own home made batch of cardamon ice cream to have at home. Yum!
