Jetty Island

This was our very first time visiting Jetty Island. A man-made little beach park. We went on the weekend so that Glenn could go with us. It was very crowded but all the people around us were so friendly it was kind of like everyone felt as if they were on a beach vacation while they were there. The water was shallow for quite a distance. This also made the water warmish. And by warmish, I mean warmer than our usual Northwest Beach water temperatures.
The kids had fun digging in the sand, being buried in the sand, playing games with our "beach neighbors," building driftwood forts, and swimming in the water.
We finished up the day by going to a restaurant for dinner and checking out a few boats at the marina.
Well, I guess it was a one day vacation!
