You are about to see a lot of pictures of our trip to the Olympics. Glenn says that I could make a slide show of the pictures and it would seem like a video of our trip. Now, I know that not everyone wants to see a gazillion pictures of the same thing, but rest assured you are only seeing 6% of the pictures we took. I'm not going to admit how many pictures that actually is, but it was just too beautiful not to photograph. If you ever get the chance to go you'll understand why it needs to be captured. Since I use this blog to make our family photo album at the end of the year, you'll just have to suffer through because I want all these photos included.
While we were getting ready in the morning Ian decide his tooth was loose enough to come out, so he pulled it out of course. He thinks the feeling is "awesome," and has no qualms about yanking it right out himself. Should this worry me? Anyway, he left his tooth at home on his dresser in hopes that the tooth fairy would come while he was gone.
What a fun way to start out another trip.

We headed out in the morning and caught the Kingston Ferry. The water was calm and the day was beautiful.

Our first stop was at the
Dungeness Spit. Which is the longest natural sand spit in the US. It's a 5 1/2 mile strip of sand that juts out into the strait of Juan
de Fuca.

The trails that take you there are beautiful.

The beach is covered in sand, rocks and drift wood. The kids thought it was awesome!

This is what I always look like on windy beaches.

Glenn made us a little shelter out of drift wood.

After we talked the kids into leaving the spit we headed into Port Angeles. We saw all the essential
Twilight places to see. It's actually pretty hard to miss. The whole peninsula has really embraced the theme. Here we are sitting in front of Bella
Italia.

And here is the store where you can buy anything Twilight you can imagine...until you make it to Forks and realize that this is just the tip of the iceberg. I ended up buying a True Blood t-shirt. Yes, they had a little of that mixed in. If you want to know what my t-shirt says you'll have to call me. :)

Glenn made sure we were entertained even at the hotel. He brought along a projector and movies and created a big screen movie experience on the wall of the hotel room. Snacks and beverages included. What more could you ask for?
