YIKES!
Ian went to his friend Jack's birthday party this week. They had the Reptile Man come to the party with his snakes, lizards, alligators, turtles and other various reptiles. It was VERY cool. The kids loved it, well most of them did. Ian liked it more than I would have liked him to. I hope he doesn't ask for a snake for Christmas now. He touched and held everything that the Reptile Man would allow him to touch. We learned a lot of fascinating reptile facts, like, alligators fall asleep if you rub the top of their eyes. It lowers their blood pressure and causes them to go to sleep. And did you know a tortoise shell is strong enough to withstand being run over by a truck or attacked by a lion. The above picture is Ian riding on a tortoise. This one can easily walk with up to 100 lbs on top of him. There were many fun facts like that. Perhaps I was more interested in that part of it than Ian was. We both had a great time.

Lori--I love the Reptile Man! You're right ... he is so full of information on all these fabulous animals (that are even MORE fabulous in their own space rather than in MINE!) The Reptile Man used to come to our school when the kids were younger ... don't know if he still does or not ... I was a little unsettled seeing a snake around Ian's neck!!
Snakes!! Holy cow, you are an amazing mom, if someone brought out a snake I don't know if you could get the door opened fast enough. I've never heard of the reptile man in SLC. That does sound like a great idea for parties.
