Happy Birthday Glenn!
Today is Glenn's birthday. The kids helped me bake a chocolate birthday cake for their Dad. It was a new recipe that turned out a little dry, but it was still fun to make. (If you have a great chocolate cake recipe I'd love to have it!) The boys didn't mind of course. They were happy with it in every stage of development. Drew is really funny now when I get out the mixer. He knows something good is coming and knows if he stands close enough he'll be able to get a taste of it at some point in the making. So, he and Ian want to stand on chairs pushed up to the counter to help me add ingredients. After the addition of each ingredient they ask, check, beg, to see if it's ready to taste, yet...is it? is it? is it????
We also spent a nice evening with Dad going out for Sushi. We drove in the snow and sang Christmas Carols on the way. We were the only patrons in the restaurant the entire time since it started snowing just before we went out. And where we live...that means everyone heads home! An inch of snow can be really scary! :)
Happy Birthday Glenn. I love you!

Happy Birthday Glenn. The cake looks amazing, I wish I could bake something that beautiful.
It seems there aren't nearly enough candles on that cake!! Happy Birthday Glenn!
