Leavenworth

We spent the weekend visiting Glenn's parents in Leavenworth. It was such a nice break. Mike and Paula always pamper us when we are there and really make us feel like we're on vacation. Plus, the weather was nice and we were able to do a lot of fun things with the kids and Grandma and Grandpa. We spent the first afternoon at Lake Wenatchee which was very windy, but fun all the same. The next day we went to a giant toy store and then out to lunch at Tom Dick and Harry's, which claimed 24 flavors of soft serve ice-cream, something that I just can't pass up. Then we stopped at Smallwood Harvest to ride the cow train. We spent the next day shopping through the little stores and went down to the river to throw rocks and play on the playground. Ian also spent hours playing checkers with Grandpa and is trying to learn chess. Both kids also spent hours climbing the mountain behind the house and trowing the ball for good old Sam. It's always fun at grandma and grandpa's house. And if Leavenworth isn't already beautiful enough, check out Grandma and Grandpa's yard. It was amazingly beautiful and fun for the kids to play in.
