This morning we awoke to a surprise! I looked up out of bed to see Drew slam dunking his pajamas into the hamper. He had just flipped the lights on and was completely dressed in jeans, and a shirt and even had his socks on already. Then he scampered back to his room where Ian was also up, and dressed.
Glenn and I looked at the clock only to find out that this kind of ambition only takes place at 3:30 A.M. Yes, that's right the kids were ready to start their day and it was 3:30 in the morning! So we get up out of bed to get the kids back into their pajamas and back in to bed for a few more hours of rest.
When Drew found out it was the middle of the night he said, "Oh good, cause I'm still so tired!"
It all started when we rearranged some of our furniture to get ready for our much anticipated Thanksgiving guests. Ian and Drew ended up sleeping in the same room together, which they never get to do at home. And even though the last thing I said to Ian before I left his room for the night was NOT to wake up Drew when he woke up in the morning, he evidently had other plans. He wanted to surprise us with being all dressed and ready for the day to show us how well they can get along and sleep in the same room. What is it they say about best laid plans....
