The rest of the weekend
Well, it's already the end of the month, and looking back once again, I see how far behind I am on my blog. We've had a very busy month and the last week we've all had a stomach bug. Not fun. But it will force us to get a bit of spring cleaning done. The whole house needs to be disinfected and I think it's a good time to get carpets and the couches cleaned. I think we've washed every set of sheets we own (several times) and the kids are finally tired of watching TV and movies...did you ever think they'd get to that point?
So I'll start back where I ended.
My Mom was here for Ian's birthday weekend, which was also Easter weekend. Ian's party was on Friday night. On Saturday we got up and Drew went to soccer while I stayed home and prepared for coloring Easter eggs and cleaned up from the party. We dyed eggs in our traditional bunny ears and Grandma Lee taught us a few new dying techniques using rubber bands around the eggs.
After that we went to see the movie How to Train Your Dragon, which we all enjoyed. Grandma brought the kids all sorts of movie "stuff" like PJs and stuffed dragons that were big enough for the kids to "ride" on. Ian's Two headed Hideous Zippleback is actually as tall as he is. We celebrated Easter at home. The kids had fun hunting for Easter eggs. We continued to find random hidden eggs for the rest of the week. The Bunny sure did a good job this year!
What a weekend! It was fun and we were so glad we got to share it with so many friends and family!
