Pizza Upside-down

What is the right way to eat a pizza? Well if you ask Ian, you'll get an answer that includes the cheese and/or toppings touching your tongue first, because that's where all the flavor is. He has eaten his pizza this way ever since he could hold his own slice. Don't ask me how, but it's never fallen off in his lap. The technique involves holding your fingers under the crust with your thumb on top (the real top) and holding the point away from you. Then when you want a bite you fold your fingers toward your mouth pointing the tip upside-down into your mouth. When you've eaten enough of it you can hold is straight up or even upside-down.
Sometimes I even catch Drew eating his pizza this way. Where do they learn these things?
By the way, trying to teach him the proper way to eat a pizza has been unsuccessful so far since it doesn't make sense to him why you would want to taste the crust first? Hmmm. I love the crust. To each his own.
