The Zoo

The weather has finally started warming up again. There have been a few nice days that we've decide to go to the zoo. I don't know what it is exactly about the zoo that I love, but I do. Maybe it's the excitement of seeing the animals, learning about the animals, or just watching the kids as they experience the animals. We always end up seeing the animals doing fascinating things.

These two "brother bears," had a wrestling match in the water while we were there this week. The water is held in by the big glass wall that separates the bears' enclosure from the humans. So when the bears are in the water they can get VERY close to you. If the glass weren't there, not only would we be wet, but Ian would be about three inches away from touching the bears in this picture.
Watching the bears play and wrestle was amazing. They must have played like this for about ten to fifteen minutes. I recorded some of the action and Drew has already watched it about ten times.

The kids had fun playing in this African hut. Too bad I can't take it home...It would make a great cage for wild animals, I mean, kids.
