Happy Easter!

On Saturday we colored Easter Eggs in our traditional "bunny ears."

This was Drew's first time participating in the fun. He was pretty eggcited about it!

Dad even got in on the fun this year.

Ian is a little concerned about Drew's hand, but Drew thinks it's cool to color eggs and body parts at the same time. He thought it was really cool when we told him he looked like he was turning into the Incredible Hulk.

Our neighborhood had a fun little Easter Egg hunt for the kids. Around here Easter Egg hunts
consist of lots and lots of eggs spread out on the grass in a small area. They usually divide off the grass into areas for kids in similar age ranges. Then they let the kids go to gather as many eggs as they can, as fast as they can. It's quite a site.
Is this how they do it every where? Does any one actually "hunt" for eggs?

Drew gathered his eggs very slowly...not that there was a lot of competition in the toddler area. And yes his hand is still green.

Ian and Dad inspect and de-egg Ian's loot. The plastic eggs will be recycled for next year's egg hunt of course...this is the Northwest after all.

Easter morning the kids had fun finding the baskets the Easter Bunny had left for them and hunting for eggs.

There were so many eggs that the kids got tired of looking for them...until, they realized that some had money. Then the adopted a new strategy. Find egg. Open it where it was found. If it had money, or chocholate they would keep it. If it had anything else they left it there. I guess the Bunny will have to keep that in mind for next year...if he's reading this.

Ian and Dad put together some of the Lego Star Wars ships he got in his Easter basket.
It was a very relaxing low key day. We had fun spending it together as a family!
Happy Easter!!!
