Glenn's birthday was the beginning of a fun Winter break from school for the kids. Grandma and Grandpa came down to celebrate Glenn's birthday, but the kids could hardly wait for their dad to open his birthday presents before they tore into their Christmas gifts from Grandpa and Grandma. After Glenn opened his make shift coffee roaster and beans, the kids opened gifts that they've "wanted for their whole lives!" What a great expression on Ian's face.
We also enjoyed homemade ice-cream cake, no make that homemade frozen yogurt cake, which wasn't the prettiest cake I've ever made, but was good enough to never want the store bought version again.
