As many of you may know, life at home with the little ones is like one big sketch comedy show after another. Here are a few of our latest episodes.

Cock-
One year old boy runs around the house shouting his favorite new word at his older brother. "Cock, cock," he shouts as he chases after his brother. The older brother runs and hides. Then the one year old runs around the house shouting "Cock, cock," until finally he finds someone to help his cock his Nerf gun. Then he can return to chasing the older brother until he fires off that round. Then the fun starts all over again.

Copy Cat-
Several times a day the dramatic four year old has a dramatic response to some minor pain such as stubbing his toe or stepping on a toy for example. As a result he usually falls to the floor grabbing his foot and saying "Ow, ow, ow."
When the one year old sees or hears this reaction he too stops what ever it is he is doing to fall to the floor, grab his foot and shout, Ow, ow, ow."
Of course the copy cat does not just stop at the dramatic, but whatever the older brother does, says, wants, has, the younger one does, says, wants, has, too.
Luckily, the older one still finds these antics entertaining and not annoying, yet.

Pavlov's experiment-
One morning a sleep deprived mom hears tapping at the back window. Conditioned to respond to this stimulus by her canine companion when he needs to be let out, the mom walks to the door and opens it. When she looks down and sees that she has just opened the door for her toddler who is on his way out the back door in the freezing cold with bare feet, she decides to have a cup of coffee and hope that wakes her enough to get through the day that has just begun.

Close Call-
The day before a mom takes her son to a friends 5th birthday party the boy asks what gift they are taking to the friend. The mom shows him the gift bag that holds the gift. The boy really wants to see it and the mom says no and explains it's too much work to re-wrap the gift. But the boy keeps begging and since it's only a gift bag and not actually that hard to "re-wrap" the mom gives in. When the boy pulls out the gift there is also a surprise...a pair of hot pink panties that come out with the gift (not intended for 5 year olds). The mom is relieved that this potentially embarrassing discovery was not made at the 5 year old's birthday party but safe at home.
