New Years Eve

We headed up to Grandma's and Grandpa's house to celebrate the new year...and to play in the snow. Grandma and Grandpa have the best sledding hill in town right next to their house. I guess there are a lot of benefits to living on the mountain. The kids loved it even though it was only around 12 degrees. They spent two full days playing in the snow. Perhaps it was a little warmer down in their snow caves. Plus all that exercise can make you sweat even when it's that cold outside. I, for one, wouldn't have even needed the exercise to stay warm; my panic kept me nice and sweaty most of the time. Kids and snow caves aren't two things that go together in my book. But, I let them have their fun, and took lots of pictures so that I would have photo evidence of letting them have their (dangerous) fun :) And with all the watchful eyes I wasn't too worried. Thanks to their Dad and Grandpa, who dug cave after cave for them, the kids had a great time!

**Drew still talks about how amazing it is that the snow stays at Grandma and Grandpa's house. When you wake up in the morning it is still there. Pretty cool.

Happy New Year!
