First Harvest

The radishes are done! The kids and I were so excited to finally see and taste some of the "fruits of our labor!" The kids love pulling up red radishes from our little garden. As many of you know, this is where we've been spending a lot of time this year. Glenn built a few raised beds and we've been planting away since February. We are still looking forward to harvesting many other fruits and veggies from our garden. Here is what we planted this year: Peas, carrots, spinach, arugula, lettus, green onions, chives, basil, cilantro, dill, cucumbers, zucchini, summer squash, Brussels sprouts, broccoli, beets, yellow onions, sweet onions, cauliflower, cabbage, artichoke, thyme, rosemary, tomatoes, sweet peppers, hot peppers, strawberries, blueberries, grapes, apples, cherries, and Asian pears. Oh, and horseradish root. I think that's about it. Can you believe we got all that in our little yard? Come on over later in the summer. We'll have plenty to share!
