Digging for worms!
It's hard to find time to blog when there is such nice weather out (in February). It's not that I have nothing to blog about, it's just that we've been so busy. I'll try to get caught up once again.
Here, Ian has a few friends over. They are digging in the backyard for worms to add to the little plastic bug boxes they just made. Although I'm not fond of worms being removed from the yard, I'll deal with it this time:) On the rainy days I just go out and collect the strays that have wiggled their way out of the dirt and found their way to the road. Then I toss them into the garden area that we have been building since January. We, and by we I mostly mean Glenn, have been working on it almost every weekend for the past few weeks. Two weeks ago I planted all the early veggies (lettus, spinach, peas, onions, radishes, beets, broccoli, brussels sprouts, carrots, chives and green onions, a few fruit trees, more strawberries, and blueberries are in so far, and much more to come)and some are starting to pop out of the soil already, thanks to rain every night and sun every day! What more could I ask for??? I can't wait for my fresh produce. Sorry, no pictures yet.
